Can you sell motes of harmony

I have been using them for Riddle of Steel transmutes as well as for the engineering rocket mounts. When I found a bunch of them this cheaply I decided to check what else I could use them for and it blew my mind.

So I bought another spirits on my challenge realm for gold each. The Spirit of Harmony Vendor in Vale of Eternal Blossoms can be used to easily flip a bunch of spirits of harmony into other materials. They can usually be resold straight up on the AH for a profit. It is used as a reagent in a bunch of different MoP crafting recipes, including the no cooldown Living Steel transmute and the rocket mounts.

I have known about the vendor for a while, but I had never actually gone through everything he sells. So I decided to check what else the vendor sold. I found that there were several of the materials that it would be very profitable to buy through the vendor. This usually depends on buying Spirits below market value. Luckily the supply of spirits is usually very variable, so you should easily be able to find good deals.

You can get 2 Golden Lotuses for the price of one Spirit of Harmony. Add to this the fact that you can regularily find Spirits down close to gold on most servers and you can see how this is a great vendor shuffle. Golden lotuses are still very useful for the MoP gem transmutes. I use this transmute all the time to get gems to craft jewelcrafting panthers , and you should be able to sell them. Take your time and fill it out as thoroughly as possible. The art of free to play. Hello everyone! Here is something I wanted to do for some time now.

I recognized that some people complain about the prize of Hearthstone or that you can only achieve higher ranks when you pay real money. I don't want to discuss this topic here also I totally disagree ;.

Instead I want to give some advice how to manage your resources so Gold and Dust more wisely and therefore get better decks and more fun out of them. You may deem some of the advice pretty expected, but maybe the "strategies" I run can still inspire you to wasting less and getting more. But I will still skip the obvious: get as much gold as possible, finish the Brawl every week etc. Also Icy Veins the side you are currently on has a pretty nice Guide-Section too and I will try not to repeat the hints from there.

Finally: the hints are mainly for the standard-format. Know when to stop and save up. So you will draw mainly cards you already own from additional packs. Since drawing cards is much better than crafting them e. Just head into your collection from time to time and check all the cards from the set you would have bought packs from.

If you realize that you mainly missing out legendaries and a few epics it could be time to stockpile your gold since the chance of drawing a specific epic or legendary is pretty slim anyways. You should be able to have to gold at the start of the next expansion that way. Only disenchant "useless" cards when you need the dust for a specific reason. Sometimes cards that are deemed useless or bad at the beginning of the meta can turn out to be quite powerful later on e.

Evolve before and after the release of Doppelgangster. There would be nothing more frustrating than having to craft a card you already disenchanted two sets ago. So be very very careful when disenchanting cards that are still legal in standard and never disenchant them only to pile up dust. You can always disenchant a card you own but never take it back. Use placeholders and build "prototype"-decks first. This is a difficult one. Many people want to try out new and innovative decks.

This can be quite expensive and you don't know beforehand if the deck will be any good and most importantly fun. Thats why it can be a good idea to test out the main functionality of the deck by replacing less important cards with similar weaker ones and find out that way if the deck is fun to play with. For example: you can play many aggressive decks in the past without the old Patches the Pirate by replacing him and the "pirate-package" with other low cost cards.

It may be way weaker but the main structure of the deck often stays the same. Wait for the meta to settle. It is pretty obvious. Don't get carried away by the hype of a new set and craft everything that people call powerful. Cards can quickly fall out of relevance. Not only because they are worse than people thought, but often because the meta turns out to be unfitting for the respective deck.

Taunt-Warrior is an example for this. Some cards can only be played in one specific deck and it is pretty obvious from the first spoilers onward that they are. Twin Emperor Vek'lor or basically all the Quests are perfect examples.

As an ingredient, Spirits of Harmony will automatically go in any enchanting bag , herb bag , inscription bag , or leatherworking bag that may be equipped. The main source for Spirits of Harmony is the fairly common world drop [ Mote of Harmony ]. Ten of these can be combined into a single Spirit of Harmony.

Spirit of Harmony can be used with Alchemy to purchase an extra transmute , Jewelcrafting to purchase extra daily discoveries, and Enchanting to buy reagents.

Krystel and Danky will sell various trade goods in exchange for a Spirit of Harmony:. Cullen Hammerbrow and Jorunga Stonehoof will sell blacksmithing plans in exchange for a Spirit of Harmony:. Comment by On farming Motes of Harmony, I'd like to add the following: Consider farming mobs.

The drop rates are lower but you'll kill the mobs faster too. For instance, if you can kill a given mob with half the drop rate twice as fast, then the drop rate per period of time is effectively the same. Now, this is mostly theorycrafting, but interestingly I do seem to get motes more often by killing lower-level mobs. I could be wrong and I'll have to test it more, but at least it's worth noting.

If anyone can confirm or dismiss this, then please do. It definitely depends on your levels, not to mention if you're not even at 90 yet yourself. Regardless, I've seen a lot of players who neglect time as a resource.

This is one of the secrets of successful farming and AH trading - how much time you spend doing it, and not just how much you get out of it per individual drop or trade. Comment by ir0nmike For a shadow priest, one of the easiest ways to farm this at level 90 are probably the Bilgewater Sapper for the Alliance or the Shieldwall Engineer for the Horde. Just gather of those using mind sear, halo and shadow word: pain. Then use void tendrils and mind sear them down.

If they aren't dead after the void tendril "expires", just continue mind searing, they will drop within seconds. Comment by jawabait I spent about an hour and a half at the Pools of Purity killing turtles. I killed about , got 10 motes, 13 greens, and turtle meat. Not a bad haul, all said and done! Comment by I found that though it's a bit tough because of mob spacing, if you're crafty, farming the barrens seems like a decent way to get motes.

Any of the Kor'kron mobs work. Comment by Smilodon I found the best way to farm these is in short bursts - flying around Jade Forest and Valley of the 4 Winds or wherever you fancy looking for rare spawns.

But considering some of them are easy to find at certain times of the early morning, I netted 6 motes on my first round, then logged off for a few hours and came back to collect 5 more on my next round, which was all I needed. The other goodies and toys I collected from this adventure fattened my wallet a bit too! The Greater Cache of Treasures have yieled me motes per run so far. Comment by NickMansell I found that if you take off your bracers, spam 10 self heals, jump 5 times, spin degrees, kill a Zandalari Warbringer, say "Show me the motes!

Bear in mind you'll have to do this many times to have a sufficient number of motes. Comment by So i think i figured something out. I noticed that when I kill stuff in the pens I get bones and teeth when I move to the shrine i get motes. Yep motes. So I am fighting at this spot and out of 16 battles, of the same ol thing, I've gotten motes 14 times Which would account for the low drop rate.

Do it yourself grind one NPC in one area and move and grind the same NPC and see if your drops percenteges dont change. You draw your own conclusions but i'm adjusting my grind strategy.

Comment by Foxearedass It seems that people have completely underestimated the value of spending 5 minutes every week doing Key to the Palace of Lei Shen. If done correctly, it's a good g for 5 mins work. Comment by Mike21daisu Doing normal scenarios is the best way to farm Mote of Harmony , after you complete the scenario you will get Greater Cache of Treasures in which there will be around 5 Mote of Harmony.

You can do normal scenario runs as many times as you want, it is 3 times faster than farming it anywhere else, I wonder why people haven't figured this out yet Just get a nice group or just join as a good DPS or Tank to finish the scenario quickly. Plus, you will also get x60 Justice Points , gold and random rare or epic items. This is also my first time writing a comment and wanted to make sure it worked! Comment by xblessedx Wanna farm these like there is no tomorrow, go to the thunder island and go to the zone where you get transformed into a lizard.

There, in the beach and around, there are a ton of those lizards where you can pull nice groups and get motes easily. Battle Horn is great to have if you're a tank. Comment by MrsTiger Hello all in addition to the 16 Mote of Harmony u can "make" a day at the tillers once u are exalted with Tillers. U can also once a day deliver on Isle of Giants : 9 Giant Dinosaur bones to get one Mote of Harmony 99 Giant Dinosuur bones to get one Spirit of Harmony so in motes thats another 11 motes a day.

Comment by Ryusan If you do not like killing monsters to farm Mote of Harmony , running scenarios for Greater Cache of Treasures is probably the best item in game to get Mote of Harmony. With the exception of planting Songbell Seed for the motes with a maximum of 16 per day.

Complete a scenario, obtain Greater Cache of Treasures and receive motes. From my experience, I receive about per cache on average. Pretty nice as scenarios normally last minutes. So about 20 motes or 2 Spirit of Harmony in an hour. Recently though, even with a Potion of Luck I seem to be getting very little. They didn't change the drop rate of anything at all did they? Just curious :. If you take a toon that is a tailor, you will farm up lots of cloth, motes have a very decent drop rate, Guo-Lai keys drop off these mobs, a decent amount of greens, the Skyshards also drop here as well in addition to a fairly fast spawning batch of rare mobs in the area that can drop Treasure of the Vale.

This makes a pretty well rounded farming area, as the chests opened by the keys drop motes as well as a wide variety of all crafting mats and a decent amount of Treasures of the Vale boxes. All the while you are able to continue to acquire Skyshards either for your own Alani mount or to sell the kill.

Comment by dukeargyll At the very least they should make items like this BoA with the final Spirit of Harmony soulbound so they can be sent to crafter alts. Even making the motes BoE would be a great economy booster. People without alts could sell off their motes to crafters, who in turn would convert them making them soulbound.

Comment by Balgair In Warlords of Draenor beta these are unbound! Comment by I like how you get these by killing things. Comment by frexima Looking to farm them? Comment by martanius You can "farm" these by opening Greater Cache of Treasures that is reward for completing normal scenarion.

It is not daily limited. But it probably is possible untill WoD patch 6. Comment by Asylumsix Now unbound. No binding. They come in packs of ish and usually drop motes oh harmony per group. They also drop a fair amount of Huge Horn. Drop rates are now trash Hope this helps.

Comment by selkie47 So far for me the best place has been northern barrens. Decent drop rate of greens, motes and windwool from the hellscream orcs there. Up on the side of the cliffs above morshan ramparts the warsong pvp vendor. Comment by gwendseli Trash in Heart of Fear 10N, before first boss, has been averaging me 7 per clear. Fast run out and reset :. You can pick Key to the Palace of Lei Shen which can give you between keys.

Running the Scenario gives me, on average, motes and gold. A nice profit! Comment by vikn Drastic price surges For future reference: As I'm writing this we're just over three months into Legion. Some background As many already new expansions brings price changes to some older trade goods.

Generally the goods of the previous expansion. Roughly speaking, either a previous useful trade goods becomes trash or a trade goods highly farmed becomes scarce and gains an increase in value. The long term effect of inflation also brings price changes to trade goods. Main point Interestingly enough, as I looked over the prices of a number of useful MoP trade goods two expansions back. I noticed a drastic surge in price coinciding with the Legion release date September 1th Similar price increases can be seen on some trade goods from other expansions.

Though the pattern isn't as clear. Three additional notes on the subject: 1. This can in no way be explained by inflation as it has not effected other types of items in any similar way. With the release of Legion, wow saw a surge in returning players. The time between the last patch of WoD 6. This even caused some backlash due to players complained on the lack of new content.

Speculation Why? My assumption would be that the drastic overnight changes was largely brought on due to the lack of content in WoD forcing people out into the older zones.

Creating a strong supply of such materials. Thus keeping prices down for an extended period of time. And with the burst of content brought by Legion people quickly left the old zones causing supply to fall drastically. Perhaps the large number of returning players and the implementation of the wardrobe function led to an increased demand for such trade gods. Which down the line often is crafted into transmog or mounts.

Future meaning If this becomes a reoccurring pattern it would be theoretically be possible to double or even triple your gold in just weeks or months by investing in the correct trade goods before the launch of a new expansion. Your experiences Me personally haven't seen such a clear pattern between a release date and skyrocketing prices on items unaffected by the release before.

Have you noticed similar occurrences during previous expansions? What do you think is the probable driving force behind it? Can it be mimicked for your gain during future expansions? Just clear and loot all the trash before the first boss which takes around and minutes then go back and reset.

Each run will get you between 10 and 20 Motes, so after 20 to 30 minutes of farming don't forget the 10 dungeons per hour limit you will have an average of Motes. Comment by Magneith By now, most s should be able to easily farm Heart of Fear trash on 25 heroic.

Be careful not to engage the first boss when you kill the last pack. About min per clear will get you Spirit of Harmony , Mote of Harmony. I've had up to 24 Mote of Harmony in a clear. Why does this matter these days? Some of the old MoP craftables like Ruby Panther are still quite popular and require high end materials like Living Steel. These are perfect for the Riddle of Steel transmute!
