What does reshi mean? Is Denna a Lackless? Does Denna love Kvothe? Is Denna the moon? Why did the Chandrian spare Kvothe? Is Denna working for the Chandrian? Is Denna part of the Chandrian? What is behind the doors of stone? Who is locked behind the doors of stone? How old is Kingkiller? Did Bast kill the soldiers? Is Bast a villain? Is the Kingkiller Chronicle ya?
Should I read Kingkiller Chronicles? Is the name of the wind appropriate for teens? Is the name of the wind bad? The protagonist, Kvothe, is a Mary Sue.
He is too special, too badass, too cool, and too good. Now assuming that he is Cinder, and that Kvothe killed Cinder, that would mean he broke his promise. However, the promise would be broken before he actually killed Cinder. Kote Kvothe post Waystone is a cursed being. As we find him in the beginning of the story, he is something like the Chandrian. A fresh terror in the night. I was under the impression he was Kote is supposed to be older, mid to late thirties, if not older.
Maybe he is finally ready to fight and die, which is why he is having the Chronicler take his memoirs.. Congrats on the post, it was a very thought-out, very well exposed theory. I really dig it, personally. I had read other things along these lines, but none making the parallel with the making of the shaed and the Selitos story.
We obviously can't now if this will turn out to be true, but to me it really checks out with Pat's Way of writing. Jezzer has a great post on Kvothe's silence. Nice post. However, I don't think Silanxi is related to silence.
It sounds to me like it's supposed to be the name of Stone, not silence. I think Selitos is silent due to a combination of all 3 bindings, but no binding to "Silence" has occurred.
We see evidence of this happening 2 other times within the books. Example 1 is found when Selitos is bound with silence, air and his name. What do you guys think? Anybody got anything that would support this theory, or go against it?
