Hit the high street. Explore the past. Walk the walls. Looking forward to seeing the new and refurbished pub in December. We were greeted by a very friendly lady who showed us to a table. We were offered hot drinks straight away which was nice.
My husband and I had our three children with us. The continental breakfast bar was well stocked and looked inviting. My children had the juice. When we were ready to order the lady was very patient with my children and took their orders. My husband and I requested a couple of items to be taken off our breakfast order as we have a special dietary requirement and the lady said it was no problem.
Our food arrived promptly and was hot. It all looked delicious and I have to say it was really tasty. Overall the service was fantastic!!
Stayed here for three nights. The room was spotless and although a little basic, perfectly adequate for a short stay to explore the Wye valley. We had one evening meal here. The menu is the usual pub grub, arrived promptly, was well cooked and tasty. Chepstow Town Council has provided additional banners advertising that the town is open for business as usual, as well as extra planters and has been maintaining the traffic management signs as well as watering all the plants throughout the town.
The council is now implementing a further range of temporary trial measures , to seek to further enhance the town centre environment.
They are planned to commence in late March and will continue to mid-April. These works see plan below involve extending Beaufort Square, by narrowing down Station Road and providing a raised plateau to replace the existing signal crossing.
